I think we can all agree that Lizzo is basically a living goddess — and no, we're not talking about her sensational "Rumors" music video in which she transformed into one of Hercules's muses. This time around, she's taking our breaths away with a glorious waist-length ponytail fit for a queen.
On August 28, the singer-songwriter shared the new hairdo in an Instagram carousel of mirror selfies with fans who were obsessed with the voluminous hairstyle. The caption reads, "the 2020's were wild" and the first photo features Lizzo getting a COVID-19 nasal swab test. The next three photos give you a full look at this lengthy ponytail that is definitely giving Ariana Grande a run for her money. This huge hairstyle cascades around her shoulders and falls well below her waist. The ponytail is full of texture and big, loose waves that we're loving.

Our favorite part may just be the braid wrapped around the ponytail's base. We're not sure if it's just one braid or a few, but her hairstylist ensured it was wrapped around tight, adding a nice accessory to the hair. Of course, Lizzo's edges are laid, slayed, and swooped to perfection along her hairline with some fire edge control. Perhaps it's the work of an Allure-editor favorite, like African Pride Extra Hold Braid, Loc, & Twist Gel or Style Factor Edge Booster Strong Hold Water-Based Pomade?
The hairstyle is the star of this look, but we can't forget about her radiant makeup. She's giving us soft glam in the best way possible with a shimmery neutral eye, highlighted skin, and a set of glossy lips. We're also loving the pale pink, marble stiletto nails seen holding her phone.
Truly, not a day goes by where we aren't in awe of Lizzo. Whether she's giving us a hype new song to shout and dance to or blessing our feeds with a new selfie or photo shoot, the talented artist constantly keeps our beauty hearts sated with her looks. And for that, we are eternally grateful.
